For over 75 years, Charles Kirk has been manufacturing on the south coast of England and is committed to doing so for the foreseeable future. Despite the increasing competition from Asia, we still manufacture over 50% of the garments we sell, in our factory in Worthing.
We believe by continuing to manufacture here in Worthing, we are helping GB in creating much needed employment, contributing to the growth of the national economy and reducing carbon emissions. We also believe that by manufacturing in GB, we can offer our customers greater assurance that we have: the capacity to turn around orders very quickly when needed; complete control of the production process, so if a problem arises it is picked up on and rectified immediately and we have complete control of quality, ensuring every garment meets our high standards. We can also provide garments for everyone whatever their height or shape, so no one needs to feel different or left out.
We recognise that British made products can cost more, but we believe that consumers are becoming more aware that this does not mean necessarily less value for money. There is value in good quality which increases the garment life and value in lowering carbon emissions. To help retailers easily promote our GB made garments, we have started to tag all garments that have been made or finished here in our factory in Worthing, with a Made in GB Charles Kirk logo.
